Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid holds far more fluid than its own weight – a single gram of it can bind as much as six litres of water. Hyaluronic acid fights free radicals and so helps keep the skin looking young and firm.
It supports the collagen and other connective fibres in our tissues and helps them bind water more effectively, which further hydrates and rejuvenates the skin. As we age, the body produces less hyaluronic acid, and the signs of ageing become more visible. To replace the water the skin loses, it is advisable to use products that contain hyaluronic acid.
